To Receive Laser Vision Correction You Must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a stable prescription for at least one year prior to the procedure
- Be free of complicating diseases
- Have good eye health
Conditions That May Preclude You:
- Diseases of the eye such as cataract, glaucoma, kerataconus, certain retinal and optic nerve diseases and some eye viruses
- Auto-immune or vascular diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus that may affect healing
- Other health problems such as uncontrolled diabetes
- Pregnant or nursing women should wait two months after nursing has discontinued
- Even with some of these particular health issues, patients may still be eligible for LASIK surgery, which is why we highly recommend you schedule a complimentary consultation.
